Legal Counsel

Company: A fast-growing building and construction business helping to deliver essential infrastructure and energy projects across the UK. The company is involved in numerous renewable and green energy projects, including those related to wind, solar and battery storage. Role - Legal Counsel: As Legal Counsel, you will provide day-to-day advice and support across a broad range of commercial legal matters, to include: construction (FIDIC and NEC) contracts related to major projects; wider general commercial contracts, such as those for sale and supply; bid/tender support; instructing external legal advisers; and other ad hoc legal and commercial duties as required. The contracts handled by legal are often in the tens of millions, and the legal team has great exposure across the company, and the various projects being undertaken and/or bid on. About you: Ideal applicants should have circa 2-5 years' PQE, and you will ideally have a background in commercial, construction and/or projects law at a leading regional, national or international law firm. The company typically contracts using FIDIC and NEC standard form contracts however experience of this type of contract is not a prerequisite; my client is willing to train and support you whilst you become familiar with these types of construction contract. Key to success in this Legal Counsel role is a can-do attitude and approach, a willingness to learn, and a desire to pick-up new matters and areas of law. What's on offer?
