Our construction and infrastructure client seeks to recruit a 4-8 years' PQE construction solicitor to work in-house as Legal Counsel at its offices in Greater Manchester. The role affords the opportunity to work on critical infrastructure projects, in a collegiate and supportive environment that includes hybrid working. Company: Our client is a long-established construction and infrastructure business with a solid reputation in the market. It provides a diverse range of services in the built environment, and much of the work it carries out is nationally significant. In addition, our client services many household name clients, and public sector customers, and it has a significant order book of future work. Role - In-house Construction Solicitor (Legal Counsel): As Legal Counsel (In-house Construction Solicitor), you will provide day-to-day advice and support on a broad range of construction matters, to include: standard form (NEC, FIDIC and some JCT) and bespoke contracts; design and build work; project advisory work; bid/tender support; instructing external legal advisers; and advising on other ad hoc legal and commercial duties as required. The contracts handled by the legal team are often valued in the tens/hundreds of millions, and the role affords great exposure across the company, and the various projects being undertaken and/or bid on. About you: Our client is seeking a construction solicitor with 4-8 years' PQE and demonstrable experience at a leading regional, national or international law firm, or equivalent in-house department. The company typically contracts using NEC and FIDIC standard form contracts however experience of this type of contract is not a prerequisite; my client is willing to train and support you whilst you become familiar with these types of construction contract. Our client operates a hybrid working model with 3 days in the office. This is commutable from Manchester, Liverpool, Preston, Chester, Warrington and surrounding towns.
