Newly Qualified Solicitor - Restructuring & Insolvency | Birmingham | National Firm | Hybrid Working Available
BCL Legal is delighted to be working with a leading national law firm in their search for a Newly Qualified Solicitor to join their highly regarded Restructuring and Insolvency team, based in Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking firm with a strong reputation for combining legal and financial expertise with a client-focused approach.
The Role
This is a superb opportunity to work closely with a market-leading Partner specialising exclusively in turnaround and insolvency matters. The successful candidate will be involved in a broad mix of advisory and transactional work for clients including:
Banks and asset-based lenders
Insolvency practitioners
Boards of directors
Debtors and creditors involved in pre-insolvency, formal insolvency, and restructuring scenarios
Recent team highlights include:
Advising on the Company Voluntary Arrangement (CVA) of a leading hotel chain, including complex application of the vertical and horizontal tests
Acting for a major international facilities management provider in a restructuring that secured over 500 jobs
Advising a purchaser on the acquisition of business and assets of a confectionery producer, including the sale and purchase agreement and property licences
The team offers high-quality, complex work in a collaborative and supportive environment with a clear career development framework.
The Ideal Candidate
The firm is looking to speak with newly qualified solicitors who are passionate about restructuring and insolvency law. Candidates may have qualified via the traditional SRA route or CILEX. The ideal profile includes:
NQ solicitor with training in Corporate or Commercial Litigation, ideally with exposure to insolvency or restructuring work
Strong technical grounding and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple matters with professionalism and commercial awareness
A proactive and collaborative approach to supporting both clients and colleagues
