Associate - Banking and Finance | Market-Leading Finance and Restructuring Team | Birmingham | 4-7PQE We are excited to offer an excellent opportunity for an experienced Associate to join a highly respected Finance and Restructuring team in Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside a team of experts with over 100 years of combined experience, offering a comprehensive approach to banking and finance matters. The Role: As an Associate in the Finance and Restructuring team, you will be primarily focused on advising on banking and finance transactions, with a particular emphasis on real estate financing. You will have the opportunity to work on high-profile and complex transactions, collaborating with clients across various sectors and jurisdictions, managing risk, and delivering innovative and commercially astute advice. Key responsibilities include: Providing strategic advice on banking and finance transactions, with a focus on real estate finance. Offering expert guidance to clients across various business sectors and jurisdictions to help manage risk and achieve commercial objectives. Ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and market trends in real estate finance. Delivering high-quality, commercially-focused advice while maintaining excellent service standards. Collaborating with colleagues and leveraging cross-discipline expertise in tax, M&A, private equity, and real estate finance. What will help you succeed in this role? Essential: Qualified solicitor with substantial experience acting for both lenders and borrowers in real estate finance transactions. Strong experience in real estate finance or general banking and finance, with a focus on Real Estate Finance (REF). Demonstrable commercial acumen, with excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills. Ability to blend technical expertise with a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach. A collaborative, team-oriented mindset with strong relationship-building skills. Desirable: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage your workload both independently and as part of a team. A passion for delivering top-tier client service across a variety of sectors.
