BCL Legal is proud to be working with a leading national law firm that is seeking to recruit an Associate or Senior Associate into its Commercial Litigation team in Birmingham.
About the Role
Due to continued growth, we are looking for an Associate or Senior Associate to join a highly regarded Commercial Litigation team in Birmingham.
You will be working directly with a partner to help build and grow the Birmingham team, with occasional travel to Bristol to collaborate with colleagues there. This is a rare opportunity to take a hands-on role in developing a practice, while benefitting from the support of a nationally recognised disputes group.
What You'll Be Doing
- As part of this motivated and collegiate team, you will manage a broad, high-quality caseload including:
- Shareholder and partnership disputes
- Professional negligence claims
- Intellectual property disputes
- Procurement challenges
- Contractual and commercial claims
You will:
Run your own caseload while supporting senior colleagues on complex matters.
Work closely with the partner to grow the Birmingham office's litigation offering.
Collaborate with colleagues across the wider disputes team.
Play an active role in business development and client relationship building.
About You
We are looking for someone with:
4-8 years' PQE in commercial litigation (strong applicants outside this range will also be considered).
Demonstrable experience in one or more of: shareholder disputes, professional negligence, IP litigation, procurement challenges, or wider commercial disputes.
Excellent drafting, analytical and advocacy skills.
Strong commercial awareness and client-handling ability.
A proactive and collaborative approach with ambition to help grow a Birmingham practice.
