Banking Senior Associate | 4+ PQE | Leading National / International Law Firm | Birmingham A leading national and international law firm is seeking a talented Banking Senior Associate (4+ PQE) to join its highly regarded Banking Practice Group in Birmingham. This is an exceptional opportunity to work with a top-tier team on complex, high-value transactions for major clients across the UK and internationally. The Team The firm's Banking Practice Group has an outstanding reputation, advising leading financial institutions, private equity houses, funds, and corporates on sophisticated domestic and cross-border transactions. The team regularly acts opposite Magic Circle and large US firms and includes lawyers with experience gained at those practices. The national team advises across the full range of banking work, including Corporate / Leverage Finance, Real Estate Finance, and Project & Infrastructure Finance, and is continuing to expand its presence in Birmingham and across the Midlands. Key areas of focus include: Corporate & Leverage Finance: Acting for private equity sponsors, corporate borrowers, and lenders on leveraged finance, M&A, corporate lending, and refinancing transactions. Real Estate Finance: Advising banks, alternative lenders, and borrowers on bilateral, syndicated, and structured finance deals across a wide range of asset classes. Project & Infrastructure Finance: Advising sponsors, developers, and funders on transactions in renewables, transport, and social infrastructure, as well as emerging energy technologies. The Role The firm is looking for a Senior Associate (4+ PQE) to advise on a broad range of banking and finance transactions, working alongside experienced partners and lawyers in a supportive, collaborative environment. You will: Lead and support on complex domestic and cross-border finance matters Work across corporate, leveraged, and real estate finance transactions Develop and maintain strong relationships with banks, funds, sponsors, and corporates Collaborate with colleagues across complementary practice areas such as Corporate, Real Estate, Tax, and Private Equity Contribute to business development and team initiatives, including training, client engagement, and knowledge sharing This role offers significant exposure to high-quality, varied work and genuine opportunities for career progression within a market-leading team. About You You will be a qualified solicitor with: 4+ years' PQE in banking and finance law, ideally gained at a leading national or international firm Strong technical expertise and commercial awareness Excellent drafting, negotiation, and project management skills A proactive, collaborative approach and the ability to build strong client relationships Enthusiasm to contribute to business development and team growth Why Apply?
