Banking Senior Associate

Senior Associate - Banking & Finance | Birmingham A leading national law firm is seeking a Senior Associate to join its highly regarded and growing Banking & Finance team in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced banking lawyer to work on a broad range of complex and high-value transactions for an impressive client base, including major UK banks and financial institutions. Flexible hybrid working is available. The Role: * Advise clients on a broad range of banking and finance transactions. * Handle matters across acquisition finance, property and development finance, asset-based lending, restructuring and refinancing. * Draft and negotiate facility agreements, security documents and intercreditor agreements. * Lead transactions from initial instruction through to completion, with appropriate support where required. * Develop and manage strong client relationships and play an active role in client meetings. * Work closely with colleagues across the Corporate and Real Estate teams. * Supervise and support junior lawyers and coordinate transaction workstreams. * Contribute to business development initiatives and help grow the team's profile and client base. * Play an active role in the continued development of the wider Banking & Finance practice. Candidate Requirements: * Qualified solicitor with significant experience in banking and finance. * Strong experience across some or all of acquisition finance, property finance, development finance, restructuring and refinancing. * Excellent drafting, negotiation and transaction management skills. * Strong commercial awareness and a client-focused approach. * Confident managing client relationships and taking ownership of transactions. * Experience supervising and supporting junior lawyers. * Proactive and ambitious, with a genuine interest in business development and practice development. * Collaborative approach and strong communication skills.
