Finance Lawyer | 3-7 PQE | Birmingham A leading international law firm is seeking a Finance Lawyer (3-7 PQE) to join its highly regarded and growing Finance team in Birmingham. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity offering exposure to sophisticated, high-value financing transactions, with a particular focus on asset-based lending and receivables financing. The Role: Advise lenders, borrowers and investors on a broad range of domestic and international finance transactions, with a particular focus on asset-based lending and receivables financing. Work on bilateral facilities, syndicated lending transactions and complex multi-jurisdictional financings. Support transactions across acquisition finance, real estate finance, corporate lending, securitisation and debt capital markets. Draft, negotiate and review finance documentation and ancillary transaction documents. Work with major UK clearing banks, independent asset-based lenders, debt funds, alternative finance providers and corporate borrowers. Collaborate with colleagues across the national and international Finance practice and other specialist teams. Develop strong client relationships, providing commercially focused advice tailored to clients' financing requirements. Support business development initiatives and contribute to the continued growth of the Finance practice. Candidate Requirements: Qualified Solicitor with 3-7 years' PQE in banking and finance. Experience advising on asset-based lending and/or receivables financing would be particularly advantageous. Good knowledge of a broad range of finance transactions and associated documentation. Experience acting for lenders, borrowers or other finance market participants. Strong drafting, negotiation and technical legal skills. Commercially minded with the ability to deliver practical, solutions-focused advice. Excellent communication and client relationship management skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative national team. Enthusiasm for business development and developing long-term client relationships.
