The Role: You'll join a full-service construction law practice that advises on major UK and international projects, acting for an impressive client base including developers, housebuilders, investors, contractors, and global engineering consultancies. You can expect early responsibility, strong partner support, and exceptional career progression opportunities. Key Responsibilities: - Acting for a wide range of national and international clients on construction and engineering disputes, including adjudication, arbitration, and litigation in the Technology and Construction Court (TCC) - Advising on dispute avoidance strategies and participating in alternative dispute resolution processes such as mediation - Working on complex final account, delay, cladding, insolvency, professional indemnity and insurance-related claims - Drafting and negotiating construction documentation, including contracts, consultant appointments, collateral warranties, bonds and guarantees - Advising on procurement strategy and project delivery models, including facilities management arrangements - Building strong client relationships and playing an active role in ongoing business development and thought leadership - Collaborating with colleagues on large-scale cross-border projects and contributing to internal know-how Candidate Requirements: - Be a qualified solicitor in England & Wales (or due to qualify by September 2025) - Have experience (through training or post-qualification) in contentious construction work - ideally involving adjudications and/or TCC litigation - Be a confident communicator with a commercial mindset and an interest in working closely with clients - Demonstrate excellent drafting, time management, and teamwork skills - Be proactive, adaptable, and eager to take on early responsibility within a supportive and high-performing team The Opportunity: - Gain exposure to a diverse mix of contentious and non-contentious work - Work with a respected team on high-profile UK and international construction projects - Enjoy clear progression, mentoring, and the chance to develop a deep specialism in construction law - Competitive City salary and benefits package - A flexible, inclusive, and collaborative working culture Whether you're currently training or recently qualified, this is an ideal next step for a junior lawyer seeking a long-term future in construction law.
