Construction & Projects Lawyer - Clean Energy & Renewables | London This is an exceptional opportunity to join one of the UK's most forward-thinking clean energy legal teams, advising on cutting-edge infrastructure projects in the renewables sector. With a strong national presence and a cross-office, multi-disciplinary approach, the firm's Clean Energy & Projects practice is growing fast. They're now looking to appoint a Senior Associate or equivalent-level lawyer with at least 5 years' PQE to help support high-profile transactions across the renewables value chain. You'll be part of a market-leading team acting for an impressive roster of clients from international battery manufacturers and energy storage providers to developers and investors in solar, wind, hydrogen, and low-carbon infrastructure. Your work will involve advising on construction and infrastructure arrangements within clean energy projects often spanning the UK and Europe and you'll play a key role in negotiating complex, high-value supply and EPC contracts, warranties, O&M agreements and more. This is an ideal role for a construction, commercial or projects lawyer looking to specialise (or further embed) within the renewables space, working at the forefront of the UK's energy transition. The Role: - Lead or support on the delivery of major clean energy projects - particularly in solar, battery storage (BESS), wind, hydrogen, and EV infrastructure. - Draft, review and negotiate key project documentation, including EPC contracts, supply agreements, O&Ms, LTSAs and warranties (FIDIC, MF/1, and bespoke forms). - Advise on the construction and operational aspects of energy project developments, acquisitions and disposals. - Collaborate closely with colleagues across corporate, finance, real estate, planning, environment, and disputes - as part of a 90-strong national clean energy team. - Engage directly with clients, offering strategic and commercially astute advice on project structuring, risk allocation and delivery. Candidate Requirements: - UK-qualified solicitor with a minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience, gained in construction, commercial, infrastructure or energy-related work. - Strong construction or projects experience (non-contentious or mixed). - A demonstrable interest in, or direct experience of, the clean energy and renewables sector. - Familiarity with construction contracts (FIDIC, MF/1, NEC, or bespoke). - A commercial and pragmatic mindset, with confidence in negotiating technical agreements. - Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams and jurisdictions. - A genuine interest in sustainability, innovation, and the role of law in accelerating the energy transition. Experience with the following technologies is advantageous: Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), solar PV, onshore/offshore wind, hydrogen, biogas, district heating, energy-from-waste, or EV charging infrastructure. Looking to play a meaningful role in the UK's clean energy future? Apply now or contact us in confidence to learn more about the firm, the team and where this opportunity could take your career.
