Energy Lawyer | International Law Firm | London This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly regarded Energy team at a leading international law firm in London. The Opportunity: This role offers the chance to be part of one of the most dynamic and strategically important sectors of the UK economy. As an Associate in the Energy & Regulated Industries team, you will:- - Advise on a wide range of complex commercial contracts, including long-term power purchase agreements, fuel supply arrangements, and multi-party industry codes. - Support major transactional work involving the development, financing, and sale of energy generation and infrastructure projects. - Work closely with colleagues across corporate, finance, and IT teams to deliver seamless, sector-focused advice. - Develop and manage client relationships, engaging directly with governments, regulators, utilities, developers, network operators, and energy suppliers. - Contribute to thought leadership and remain at the forefront of developments shaping the UK energy market. - You will be joining a close-knit, non-hierarchical team that values collaboration and professional growth. Every team member is encouraged to take on responsibility, contribute to client work, and build their own profile in the sector. Candidate Requirements: - 1-4 PQE. - Strong commercial contracts experience, ideally gained at a leading law firm. - Exposure to the energy sector (or a genuine interest in developing expertise in this field). - Excellent drafting, analytical and research skills, with the ability to provide pragmatic, business-focused advice. - A proactive, collaborative, and client-focused approach. - This is a fantastic opportunity for a junior lawyer who wants to combine their commercial contracts experience with sector-specific expertise in energy and regulated industries.
