An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a talented Real Estate Solicitor to join a leading London law firm recognised by Legal 500 and Chambers UK for its top-tier expertise in social housing, real estate development, and property transactions.
This firm has been established in the City for over 150 years and continues to go from strength to strength, with more than 300 staff across four UK offices and a growing international presence. Its Real Estate team sits at the heart of the business, advising a broad client base that includes registered providers of social housing, care home operators, developers, institutional investors, and build-to-rent operators.
The firm's real estate practice is one of the most experienced and highly regarded in the UK, acting on complex portfolio disposals and acquisitions often involving thousands of units. As demand in this area continues to grow, the team is seeking a motivated and commercially astute solicitor to play a key role in these transactions.
As part of the Real Estate team, you will work on a variety of stock rationalisation and property development projects, supporting one of the partners and contributing to the continued success of this award-winning department.
You will handle a full range of real estate work, including:
- Drafting and negotiating stock transfer agreements, contracts for sale, and associated documentation
- Producing detailed reports on title and identifying practical solutions to title issues
- Advising on leases, transfers (including part transfers), and deeds of assignment
- Liaising with insurers on title and search indemnity policies
- Reviewing Section 106 agreements and planning consents (desirable but not essential)
- Managing client relationships and attending regular project calls with buyers, sellers, and external stakeholders
- Supporting on wider real estate projects such as site acquisitions, joint ventures, and property disposals
You'll be involved in high-value, high-profile transactions that frequently feature in industry and national press, gaining exposure to some of the most exciting real estate work in the sector.
Candidate Requirements:
- 3-5 years' PQE in Real Estate, ideally with experience in stock rationalisation or social housing transactions
- A strong academic background (2:1 or above)
- Excellent drafting and communication skills
- The ability to manage files independently while contributing to a collaborative team
- A proactive, commercial approach with genuine enthusiasm for client service and long-term relationships
- Familiarity with registered providers or housing associations would be advantageous, but not essential.
