You'll be joining a multi-disciplinary team advising clients across development, clean energy, manufacturing, infrastructure, and the public sector on a broad range of environmental and regulatory matters. The successful candidate will work closely with a highly ranked Partner recognised as a Leading Individual in Chambers UK and The Legal 500, who is known for their expertise in waste regulation, environmental permitting, contaminated land, pollution, and climate change law. As an Environmental Lawyer, your role will include: - Advising on environmental permitting, waste regulation, and end-of-waste matters, including energy-from-waste projects. - Handling issues relating to pollution incidents, contaminated land, and water regulation. - Advising on compliance, risk management, and regulatory defence matters. - Supporting corporate and real estate transactions on environmental due diligence and liability issues. - Providing strategic advice on climate change, sustainability, and environmental management systems. - Collaborating with colleagues across the firm's planning, real estate, and corporate teams on multi-disciplinary projects. - Building and maintaining strong client relationships and contributing to business development initiatives. You'll be a qualified solicitor with at least 6 years' PQE in environmental law, ideally gained within a recognised UK or international firm. You'll bring: - Solid experience in environmental permitting, waste regulation, and contaminated land matters. - A strong background in environmental risk management, compliance, and regulatory defence. - Commercial awareness and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving. - The confidence to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative and supportive team culture. - A genuine passion for environmental law and a desire to be part of a growing, forward-thinking team.
