The Opportunity:
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Construction and Projects Lawyer to join a highly regarded Projects, Development & Construction team within a leading UK and international law firm, based in the City of London.
This position offers exposure to high-quality, non-contentious construction work across a wide range of sectors including real estate development, housing, healthcare, education, infrastructure, sustainability, and renewables. You will work alongside experienced partners and associates on both UK and international matters, advising clients at the forefront of major projects.
This is an ideal role for a junior lawyer looking to build a long-term career in construction and development law, with structured training, direct client contact, and strong opportunities for progression.
The Role:
- Advise on a broad range of non-contentious construction matters, including drafting and negotiating construction and development documentation.
- Work with clients from project inception, helping shape procurement and contracting strategies.
- Draft, review, and negotiate standard form contracts (including JCT, NEC and EPC), as well as bespoke agreements and large-scale development documentation.
- Support on risk management, due diligence, and ongoing project advice to help clients avoid disputes and manage contractual relationships.
- Gain exposure to international projects, working with trusted overseas law firms and consultants where required.
- Contribute to business development, know-how, and thought leadership initiatives as you progress.
Candidate Requirements:
- Qualified solicitor in England & Wales, NQ-3 PQE.
- Experience in construction law (non-contentious focus preferred), with some exposure to real estate development or housing work.
- Familiarity with standard form contracts (JCT, NEC, EPC) and an interest in handling complex, bespoke agreements.
- A proactive, commercially minded lawyer with strong drafting and negotiation skills.
- Keen to develop sector knowledge and contribute to the team's growing profile.
