Regulatory Lawyer - Financial Services | International Law Firm | City of London A highly reputable international law firm is seeking a Senior Associate Solicitor to join its growing Consumer & Retail Financial Services Regulatory team in London. The firm's Financial Services Regulatory (FSR) group advises a broad mix of UK and international clients across the consumer and retail markets. The team is highly regarded for its ability to deliver both contentious (non-litigation) and non-contentious advisory support, with expertise ranging from regulatory structuring to supervisory engagement with the FCA. The Role: - Lead on complex, high-value regulatory matters, both contentious and advisory. - Advise senior management and boards across consumer and retail financial services on FCA requirements and sector-specific issues. - Support clients on transactions, corporate restructuring, due diligence, and regulatory notifications. - Manage interactions with regulators, including FCA supervisory and enforcement matters. - Mentor and develop junior lawyers, providing both technical supervision and strategic guidance. Candidate Requirements: - At least 4 PQE with strong experience in consumer financial services regulation. - A proven ability to run complex cases independently, offering clear and commercially practical advice. - Strong business development skills and an enthusiasm for client relationship building. - Experience supervising and developing junior lawyers. - A proactive, collaborative mindset with the ability to think commercially and strategically.
