A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Real Estate Associate to join a leading international law firm, in the City of London.
This leading international law firm is home to over 1,400 people, including 210+ partners, across eight offices in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. They advise clients in over 100 countries and are recognised for delivering innovative, client-focused solutions. The London Real Estate team is 40-strong, comprising eight partners and over 20 associates, and is highly regarded for its depth of experience and international reach. The team advises a wide range of clients, including:
- Major property companies and institutional investors
- Banks and hotel groups
- Public sector organisations and corporate occupiers
The team handles a variety of matters, including:
- Investment acquisitions and disposals, financings, and refinancings
- Development projects, including planning and environmental advice
- Sale and leasebacks and general commercial real estate management
- Cross-practice collaboration with finance, tax, corporate, and construction teams
As a Real Estate Associate, you will be given early responsibility and the chance to lead your own matters, including complex transactions and development projects. You will also have opportunities to participate in business development initiatives, client engagement, and knowledge-sharing activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse and advise on commercial real estate risks
- Draft and prepare clear, accurate, and well-structured legal documentation
- Conduct legal research and provide practical solutions for clients
- Liaise directly with clients, developing trusted relationships
- Manage transactions and lead matters with minimal supervision
- Contribute to internal and external knowledge-sharing, including legal articles
- Support business development and client events, including seminars and networking
Candidate Requirements:
- Qualified solicitor with strong commercial real estate experience
- Experience in acquisitions, disposals, asset management, and ideally development projects
- Exposure to complex landlord & tenant and investment work
- Strong academic and professional qualifications
- Excellent commercial awareness, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Organised and able to manage own workload while mentoring junior team members
- Ambitious, proactive, and entrepreneurial mindset
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and professional presence
