Real Estate Solicitor | Top 50 UK Law Firm | London
A top-tier UK law firm is seeking an experienced Real Estate Solicitor to join its market-leading, specialist real estate team, in London. This is a standout opportunity to work with household-name hospitality and leisure operators, advising on complex, fast-moving, portfolio-driven real estate work in one of the UK's most dynamic sectors.
This specialist real estate team is a recognised market leader, advising brewers, pub companies, restaurant and bar operators, hotel groups and leisure brands across the UK. The team is known for delivering commercial, pragmatic advice that reflects the realities of operating at scale in the hospitality sector.
At its core, the practice is real estate-led, supported by close collaboration with specialists in corporate, employment, tax, planning, construction, IP/media and disputes. This fully integrated approach allows the team to support:
- Portfolio expansion and optimisation
- Roll-out and growth programmes
- Acquisitions, disposals and re-gears
- Development and pre-let transactions
- Complex, time-critical operator work
Due to continued growth and strong client demand, the firm is looking to recruit a solicitor with 4+ years' PQE to advise its national operator client base, including pubs, bars, restaurants, late-night venues, hotels and leisure businesses.
Your work will typically include:
- Freehold and leasehold acquisitions and disposals
- Development agreements and pre-let arrangements
- Portfolio re-gears and estate optimisation projects
- Day-to-day landlord & tenant and estate management matters, including licences, variations, easements and ancillary agreements
- Advising on operator-specific considerations such as TUPE, TOGC, capital allowances and licensing/regulatory issues, with specialist support where required
You will work closely with clients and colleagues across the firm, gaining exposure to high-value, multi-site transactions and long-term portfolio strategy.
This role will suit a commercially minded real estate solicitor who enjoys working closely with clients in a fast-paced, operationally focused environment.
You are likely to have:
- 4+ years' PQE in commercial real estate
- Experience advising on acquisitions, disposals and asset management
- An interest in (or existing exposure to) the hospitality, leisure or retail sectors
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
- The ambition to develop client relationships and grow your profile in the market
The firm places real emphasis on collaboration, inclusion and professional development, making this an attractive platform for ambitious real estate lawyers.
