Real Estate Lawyer - Senior Associate | International Law Firm | London Our client is a highly regarded international law firm with a long-standing reputation in the UK real estate market. An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an experienced real estate lawyer to join this market-leading international law firm in London, as a senior associate to focus on commercial development and investment matters. This is a career-defining role for an ambitious real estate lawyer seeking high-quality work, direct client exposure and a clear route to progression within a highly regarded commercial property practice. You will join a well-established Real Estate team advising major UK and international developers, institutional investors and asset managers on complex development projects and investment transactions across England & Wales. Working closely with a partner and senior colleagues, you will play a key role in delivering strategic advice across the full lifecycle of commercial and mixed-use real estate assets from site assembly and development through to investment, asset management and disposal. This role offers: - Genuine responsibility and client contact - Exposure to high-value, UK-wide development projects - Leadership opportunities within transactions and team supervision - A platform to develop your business development profile - A supportive and collaborative culture within a top-tier real estate practice Your work will include: - Leading major commercial lettings and pre-lets, including leasing and asset management of shopping centres and mixed-use schemes - Acting on acquisitions and disposals of commercial property assets (both direct property transactions and corporate vehicle structures) - Advising on development projects, including site assembly, development constraints and regulatory considerations (including the Building Safety Act) - Managing real estate finance transactions, including title investigation, drafting and negotiating Certificates of Title, property warranties, undertakings and managing CP processes - Advising on forward funding and forward commitment structures, long income and finance lease arrangements - Supervising junior lawyers and trainees within the team - Supporting business development initiatives, including client training, pitches and relationship management - Maintaining strong financial discipline, billing management and compliance oversight The ideal candidate will demonstrate: - At least 6 years' PQE - A strong track record advising sophisticated clients on the acquisition, disposal and development of commercial and mixed-use assets - Experience across asset classes including shopping centres, offices, logistics, student accommodation, hotels and healthcare - Solid understanding of development finance and real estate funding structures - Excellent technical drafting skills and commercial judgement - Confidence leading transactions and supervising junior lawyers - A proactive, client-focused approach - An interest in legal technology and AI to enhance client service delivery This role will particularly suit a lawyer who is technically strong but also commercially minded and motivated to contribute to practice growth.
