Construction Litigation Lawyer | International Law Firm | City of London A highly regarded international law firm is seeking a Contentious Construction Associate to join its expanding Construction, Engineering & Projects team in London. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior to mid-level construction disputes lawyer to develop their career within a collaborative, full-service team acting on complex, high-value matters across the UK and internationally. This well-established team advises across the full lifecycle of construction projects from procurement and contract drafting through to dispute avoidance and resolution. Due to continued growth, there is a particular focus on contentious construction work, offering exposure to adjudications, arbitration, litigation in the Technology and Construction Court (TCC), and alternative dispute resolution. You will work closely with experienced partners and senior lawyers while enjoying meaningful responsibility, direct client contact, and genuine progression opportunities. You will advise a diverse client base, including developers, contractors, investors, consultancies, and private clients, on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious construction matters. Key responsibilities will include: - Acting on complex, high-value construction disputes, including adjudications, arbitrations, and TCC litigation - Advising on dispute avoidance strategies and alternative dispute resolution (ADR), including mediation - Supporting on project documentation, including construction contracts, consultant appointments, warranties, and security documentation - Advising a broad range of stakeholders including developers, funders, contractors, and public sector bodies About You: - England & Wales qualified solicitor (or equivalent) with 2-4 years' PQE in contentious construction law - Experience in adjudication and/or TCC litigation (arbitration experience also beneficial) - Strong technical ability with excellent drafting and analytical skills - Confidence in dealing with clients, experts, and stakeholders - A proactive, collaborative approach and strong commercial awareness - Excellent organisational and time management skills Experience in fire safety or cladding-related disputes would be advantageous but is not essential.
