An excellent opportunity has arisen for a talented Contentious Construction Solicitor to join a highly regarded and ambitious construction and engineering team in London. The Opportunity:
You will join a market-leading Construction & Engineering team advising contractors, developers, consultants, insurers and other key industry participants on a wide range of contentious matters. Working closely with colleagues nationally and internationally, you will play an active role in the continued expansion and success of the practice.
The team advises on complex disputes involving:
- Delay and disruption claims
- Defects and negligence claims
- Payment and valuation disputes
- Professional liability matters
- Adjudication, arbitration and litigation
- Project advisory and dispute avoidance strategies
- Alternative dispute resolution and negotiated settlements

Key Responsibilities:
- Advising clients on contentious construction and engineering matters.
- Managing disputes relating to time, cost and defects.
- Supporting clients with project-based advice and dispute avoidance strategies.
- Acting on adjudications, litigation, arbitration and other forms of dispute resolution.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Collaborating with colleagues across the wider national and international construction practice.
- Participating in business development initiatives and contributing to the continued growth of the team.
- Supporting and sharing knowledge with junior colleagues and the wider team.
About You:
- 4-9 years' PQE gained within a recognised construction disputes practice.
- Strong experience in contentious construction and engineering matters.
- A solid academic background.
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
- The ability to manage matters confidently and provide commercially focused advice.
- A collaborative and team-oriented approach.
- An interest in business development and helping to drive future growth.
