Competition Lawyer | Elite US Law Firm | City of London An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a talented Competition Lawyer with 3-5 years' post-qualification experience to join the highly regarded London competition and antitrust team of a leading international US law firm. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside market-leading practitioners on some of the most significant and complex EU and UK competition law matters, advising multinational corporations, financial institutions, regulatory bodies and industry-leading organisations across a broad range of sectors. The team is recognised for its sophisticated cross-border practice, handling high-profile matters spanning merger control, cartel investigations, abuse of dominance, state aid, competition litigation, regulatory investigations and antitrust compliance. Associates benefit from direct client exposure, international collaboration and involvement in cutting-edge competition law developments. Joining a collaborative and growing team, you will work on a broad range of competition and antitrust matters, including: - Advising clients on UK and EU competition law issues. - Managing and supporting merger control and foreign investment filings. - Assisting clients through complex antitrust and regulatory investigations. - Advising on cartel matters, leniency applications and enforcement proceedings. - Supporting competition litigation and appeals before UK and European courts. - Advising on commercial agreements, distribution arrangements, licensing and joint ventures. - Providing strategic advice on abuse of dominance and market investigations. - Advising on state aid and subsidy control matters. - Supporting the development and implementation of antitrust compliance programmes and training initiatives. - Coordinating multi-jurisdictional competition law advice alongside international colleagues and local counsel. Applications are encouraged from qualified solicitors who can demonstrate: - Between 3 and 5 years' PQE gained within a recognised competition/antitrust practice. - Strong technical expertise across UK and EU competition law. - Experience advising on merger control, investigations, competition and commercial antitrust matters. - Excellent analytical, drafting and communication skills. - A strong academic background. - The ability to manage client relationships and work effectively within international teams. - Commercial awareness and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
