PLANNING LAWYER Top 50 UK Law Firm London This is an outstanding opportunity to become part of a nationally recognised, multidisciplinary practice advising on some of the UK's most significant development and infrastructure projects. Due to continued growth and an increasing volume of high-quality instructions, our client is seeking a Planning Associate (NQ-4 PQE) to join its expanding national team. This role offers exceptional career development, exposure to complex and varied work, and a genuinely collaborative working environment. You'll join a highly regarded Planning & Environment team comprising planning lawyers, environmental specialists, advocates and planning consultants working together to deliver commercially focused legal advice across a broad range of development sectors. The team advises clients throughout the entire planning lifecycle, from the early stages of project inception through to delivery, supporting developers, landowners, investors and corporate clients on complex planning matters across the UK. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious planning lawyer who is looking to build their expertise within a supportive, well-established team that continues to grow year on year. As part of this successful national practice, you will advise on a broad range of planning law matters, including: - Drafting and negotiating Section 106 agreements. - Advising on highways agreements and other statutory agreements. - Providing planning and highways law advice to a diverse client base. - Supporting property and corporate transactions through planning due diligence. - Assisting with contentious planning matters, including planning inquiries, hearings, judicial reviews and court challenges. - Working closely with colleagues across multiple disciplines on high-profile development projects. - Building strong client relationships while contributing to the continued growth of the team. Applications are welcomed from qualified Solicitors with between NQ and 4 years' PQE who have experience in planning law gained within private practice or an equivalent environment with experience of planning and development law, section 106 and statutory agreements, highways law, planning due diligence, and contentious planning matters, including judicial review and appeals.
