Commercial Property Solicitor | London An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Property Solicitor to join the London office of a highly regarded and long-established specialist law firm. This is a particularly attractive opportunity for an ambitious property lawyer seeking high-quality commercial real estate work, early client exposure and genuine scope to develop their career within an established and growing team. Joining the Commercial Property team, you will work closely with experienced Partners and colleagues on a broad range of sophisticated real estate matters. You will have the opportunity to develop your expertise across commercial landlord and tenant, asset management, property investment, development and real estate finance, while taking increasing responsibility for your own matters. The team is currently expanding its portfolio management practice, including recently secured instructions relating to a substantial multi-property portfolio, providing an exciting platform for a lawyer looking to establish themselves within a growing area of the practice. There is also scope to gain experience advising urban and rural landed estates on matters including commercial leasing, change of use and development obligations, high-value residential sales, mixed-use developments and enfranchisement. Previous estates experience is useful but not essential, with training and support available. Key Responsibilities: - Advising on a broad range of commercial landlord and tenant matters, including leasing and asset management. - Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial property documentation. - Running your own landlord and tenant transactions with appropriate supervision. - Assisting Partners on larger and more complex property investment acquisitions and disposals. - Supporting on property development projects and large-scale real estate transactions. - Assisting with real estate finance matters and developing your understanding of the wider commercial aspects of property finance. - Undertaking title review, due diligence and reporting on larger transactions. - Developing relationships with a diverse client base, including property companies, private investors, developers, family offices, major estate owners, financial institutions and occupiers. Candidate Requirements: - Qualified as a solicitor in England & Wales with at least 2 years' PQE. - Trained and qualified within a reputable commercial property team. - Substantial experience in commercial landlord and tenant work. - Strong technical, drafting and negotiation skills. - Experience of assisting on larger commercial property projects. - Some experience of property investment acquisitions and disposals and/or commercial real estate finance. - Strong academics, including a minimum 2:1 degree or equivalent. Experience of landed estates work would be advantageous, although candidates with a genuine interest in developing expertise in this area are encouraged to apply. The firm is committed to an inclusive and supportive working environment and to providing equal opportunities to all employees and applicants. Applications are welcomed from candidates regardless of gender, age, ethnic origin, nationality, marital status, disability, sexual orientation or religious belief. BCL Legal is an equal opportunities employer.
