CONSTRUCTION LAWYER | LONDON
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Non-Contentious Construction Lawyer to become part of an internationally recognised practice advising on some of the largest and most complex construction, engineering and infrastructure projects.
Working alongside market-leading lawyers, you will advise an impressive portfolio of developers, institutional investors, contractors, public sector organisations and major corporate occupiers across a wide range of sectors.
You will advise clients throughout the lifecycle of major construction and development projects, providing commercially focused legal advice on a broad range of non-contentious construction matters acting for developers, contractors and investors alike providing exposure to a diverse range of high-value transactions rarely found elsewhere.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise on a wide range of non-contentious construction matters across complex commercial developments.
- Draft, negotiate and advise on all major forms of construction documentation, including JCT, NEC, MF/1 and FIDIC contracts.
- Provide advice on development agreements, funding agreements and agreements for lease.
- Support clients on high-value real estate, infrastructure and engineering projects.
- Deliver commercially pragmatic legal advice tailored to clients' strategic objectives.
- Manage transactions with an increasing level of autonomy while collaborating with senior lawyers and partners.
- Supervise and mentor junior lawyers where appropriate.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through excellent service and technical expertise.
- Work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams on complex, high-profile projects.
About You:
- A qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with 5+ years' PQE.
- Experienced in advising on non-contentious construction matters.
- Confident drafting and negotiating JCT, NEC, MF/1 and FIDIC contracts.
- Experienced advising on development and funding agreements.
- Comfortable managing matters with an appropriate level of autonomy.
- Commercially minded with strong technical drafting skills.
- An effective negotiator with excellent communication and client management abilities.
- Well organised with strong time management skills.
- Passionate about teamwork, collaboration and developing junior colleagues.
Experience working on major developments, regeneration schemes or infrastructure projects would be advantageous.
