Planning Lawyer | Top 50 UK Law Firm | London A leading Top 50 UK law firm is seeking an experienced Planning Solicitor to join its growing Planning & Environment team. This is an exciting opportunity for a planning lawyer to join a highly regarded national planning practice and work on a diverse portfolio of sophisticated planning and development matters. With instructions continuing to increase, the team is looking to strengthen its national offering with an ambitious planning solicitor who is keen to take on high-quality work, develop client relationships and play a key role in the continued growth of the practice. The Planning & Environment Group is a genuinely multi-disciplinary team of planning lawyers, environmental lawyers, advocates and planning consultants, working collaboratively across the full development lifecycle. The team advises clients from the early stages of development and planning strategy through to delivery, providing clear, pragmatic and commercially focused advice. You will have the opportunity to work across a wide range of development sectors and collaborate with colleagues nationally, while benefiting from a supportive and flexible working environment. Your responsibilities will include: - Drafting and negotiating Section 106 agreements and planning obligations. - Advising on highways agreements and other statutory agreements. - Providing advice on planning, highways and associated legislation. - Undertaking planning due diligence in support of property and corporate transactions. - Advising on contentious planning matters, including planning inquiries and hearings. - Assisting with court challenges and judicial review proceedings. - Advising on major development proposals throughout the planning process. - Working on complex Development Consent Orders (DCOs) where appropriate. - Supporting clients involved in large-scale regeneration schemes. - Working collaboratively with environmental specialists, advocates, planning consultants and lawyers across other practice areas. - Developing strong client relationships and delivering practical, commercially focused planning advice. - Contributing to the continued growth and profile of the firm's national Planning & Environment practice. - DCO & Regeneration Experience We are keen to hear from Planning Lawyers with 3-8 years' PQE.
