7th - 8th year Private Equity M&A Associate (Vault top-15)

A leading global law firm, consistently ranked among the top in corporate, private equity, and capital markets transactions, is seeking a highly skilled Mid-Level Associate Attorney to join its Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) and Private Equity practice in New York. The firm is known for advising some of the most prominent clients across industries including financial services, technology, and healthcare, and offers a collaborative, high-performance environment with a strong commitment to professional development and client service. Position Overview: The successful candidate will work directly with partners to deliver sophisticated legal counsel on a range of complex domestic and cross-border transactions. These include mergers, acquisitions, restructuring, recapitalizations, and public capital markets matters. You will be expected to: * Draft and negotiate standard and complex transaction documents such as share and asset purchase agreements * Lead and manage deal processes from initial negotiation through closing * Advise clients on key contractual and strategic issues * Support business development efforts through client engagement and marketing initiatives * Mentor junior associates and contribute to the growth and development of the practice Qualifications: * Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a top-tier law school * A minimum of six years of relevant M&A and private equity experience, ideally including representation of major private equity sponsors * Admission to practice law in New York * Deep understanding of transactional law and the legal landscape across industries such as financial services and technology * Proven ability to manage complex transactions and foster strong client relationships Compensation & Benefits: * Base salary range of $420,000 - $445,000, with discretionary bonus potential * Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and retirement plans
