The Boston Team The Boston office anchors the firm's ECVC practice on the East Coast and is co-led by one of the most respected venture and private securities practitioners in the market. The team is deeply embedded in the Boston/Cambridge life sciences and tech ecosystem, with a docket that spans seed through late-stage financings, fund formations, and company-side and investor-side representations for VC funds, family offices, and corporate venture arms. Recent matters include multi-hundred-million-dollar Series A/B/C rounds for high-growth biotech, digital health, and cybersecurity companies. The Role * Lead and staff venture financings from term sheet through closing - preferred stock financings, convertible notes/SAFEs, and growth equity rounds * Represent both emerging companies and institutional/VC investors, giving genuine two-sided deal experience * Advise on formation, governance, equity incentive structuring, and general corporate matters for startup clients * Work directly with practice co-chairs and partners with substantial origination - strong exposure and visibility rather than being buried on a large deal team * Meaningful autonomy on deal management at the 4th-5th year level, with a clear runway toward senior associate and partnership-track responsibility What's on Offer * Cravath-scale compensation * Standard Am Law 100 billable hour target * Direct client contact and business development exposure - the practice actively involves senior associates in pitches and client relationships * A genuinely collaborative, non-siloed platform with deep bench strength across IP, tax, and regulatory to support deal execution
