About the Firm
Our client is a well-regarded, mid-sized firm known for a genuinely hands-on training culture and a corporate practice that punches above its size. The firm offers the sophistication of large-firm corporate work with the closer mentorship and faster responsibility often associated with a smaller platform.
About the Practice
The Corporate Group handles a broad, varied practice spanning public and private offerings, public company representation, SEC reporting, M&A, and general corporate work across a diverse mix of industries, including media, technology, financial services, and pharmaceuticals. This industry breadth gives associates exposure to varied deal types and client profiles rather than a narrow, siloed practice, along with domestic and international corporate matters.
The Role
The firm is seeking a motivated associate (classes of 2022-2024) with a strong background in securities and capital markets to join the Corporate Group. The role involves substantive work across capital markets transactions, public company advisory, SEC reporting, and M&A, working across a genuinely varied industry base. Candidates should bring a strong academic record and work ethic; prior experience at an AmLaw 200 firm is preferred. The firm offers comprehensive, direct training from corporate partners and senior associates as part of a dynamic, collaborative team. Compensation ranges from $215,000 to $250,000, based on experience and education.
Long-Term Career Benefits
* Direct partner and senior associate mentorship builds skills faster. Close, hands-on training at a mid-sized platform often accelerates technical and client-facing development compared to being one of many associates in a large, siloed group
* Cross-industry exposure creates career flexibility. Working across media, technology, financial services, and pharmaceuticals builds a versatile skill set and broadens future options, whether staying in law firm practice, moving in-house, or pursuing an industry-specific path
* Breadth across deal types (capital markets, M&A, general corporate) strengthens long-term positioning. Associates who develop fluency across multiple corporate disciplines, rather than one narrow lane, are often better positioned for partnership tracks and senior in-house roles alike
* Domestic and international matter exposure adds a global dimension to a developing corporate practice, valuable for long-term career optionality
