A leading international law firm is looking to add an Associate to its highly regarded Public Procurement team in Leeds.
The Firm:

· Advising on nationally significant and high-profile procurement projects across government, transport, utilities, healthcare, defence and regeneration
· Acting for a diverse client base including public authorities, utilities, government bodies and major contracting organisations
· Involved in innovative, cutting-edge procurement matters and landmark projects
· Strong collaboration between advisory and specialist procurement disputes teams

The Role:
· Associate in the Public Procurement team
· Highly competitive salary and excellent benefits package

· Advising public authorities, utilities and contracting partners on a broad range of procurement matters
· Supporting clients on procurement strategy, direct awards and contract modifications
· Drafting and reviewing procurement documentation including notices, selection questionnaires and invitations to tender
· Advising bidders throughout procurement exercises and providing practical, commercially focused guidance
· Working closely with specialist procurement disputes lawyers on procurement challenges and claims
· Providing procurement expertise on major cross-sector projects involving transport, utilities, construction, real estate, IT, outsourcing and defence
· Building strong client relationships and supporting business development activity
· Taking increasing responsibility and developing specialist expertise within a nationally recognised team
The Candidate:
· Qualified solicitor with 1-5 years' PQE
· Experience of, or a genuine interest in, public procurement and/or utilities procurement law
· Background gained within a regional, national or international law firm
· Strong legal research, drafting and analytical skills
· Commercially minded with a practical, solutions-focused approach
· Excellent communication and client-facing skills
· Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
· Enthusiastic about developing specialist expertise in procurement law and key industry sectors
· Collaborative team player with a proactive and professional approach
