A leading global law firm is seeking a capable and ambitious Litigation / Arbitration Associate - 3-8 years' PQE - to join the Construction Litigation & Arbitration team in New York. The firm stands out for its truly global footprint and world-class disputes practice.
You'll be a strong candidate if you have:
Between three and eight years' experience, ideally with significant exposure to construction, engineering or infrastructure disputes, as well as arbitration and/or litigation in both U.S. and Latin America.
Dual qualification (Latin America jurisdiction + U.S.) - or substantial experience practising in both regions - enabling seamless handling of cross-border matters and leveraging local knowledge and language where needed.
A track record in complex construction- or infrastructure-related disputes: public or private projects, disputes involving contractors, developers, EPC firms, power/energy, infrastructure, industrial or heavy-engineering works.
Familiarity with international arbitration as well as domestic litigation: contract disputes, design-build or EPC-contract negotiation and drafting, claim management, liability/contention issues, and cross-jurisdictional enforcement.
Working here will mean joining an elite, integrated global disputes team of more than 200 lawyers in 25+ business centres worldwide - delivering both litigation and arbitration services.
You'll benefit from the firm's strengths in:
Handling major, high-value construction and infrastructure disputes for world-class clients (owners, developers, contractors, EPC firms, and design professionals) across energy, infrastructure, power, commercial real estate, industrial, and infrastructure sectors.
Offering clients a truly global, coordinated approach - local know-how in Latin America (via established offices in Mexico City and São Paulo) combined with U.S. and global legal capacity.
A track record of success in both arbitrated and litigated matters, on some of the most significant construction-contract disputes worldwide.
As a member of the team, you can expect to:
Work on both domestic U.S. litigation and cross-border arbitrations, spanning contract drafting, dispute resolution and enforcement in multiple jurisdictions.
Be part of global, multilingual teams combining U.S., Latin American, European and other offices to handle major transnational infrastructure and construction mandates.
Gain from a collaborative firm culture that deploys resources across offices based on client needs - allowing you to work on matters that reflect your bilingual/multijurisdictional background and expand your international arbitration & litigation experience.
