Compensation: $250K-$315K depending on experience.
JOB SUMMARY
The Counsel/Partner (NE) must have strong traditional labor law experience to represent management clients in arbitration, grievance proceedings, collective bargaining, mediations, NLRB proceedings, and litigation.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Regularly represent management clients in arbitration, grievance proceedings, collective bargaining, mediation, litigation in state and federal court and before local, state and federal agencies.
* Daily consultation with clients on the administration of collective bargaining agreements as well as compliance with local, state, and federal laws and HR-related matters.
* Assist in negotiation and drafting of collective bargaining agreements, employment agreements, non-disclosure agreements, settlement and separation agreements, bulletins and memoranda.
* Conduct training and webinars labor - management issues, wage and hour compliance, and other areas
* Other duties, projects and assignments as required.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
* Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
* Licensed and in good standing to practice law in New York; admission in New Jersey is a plus.
* 8+ years of traditional labor law experience in a law firm setting.
* Strong knowledge of civil procedure, evidence rules, and experience in both state and federal courts.
* Excellent legal research, analytical, writing, and problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in legal research and case management software.
* Strong verbal and written communication, public speaking, and presentation skills.
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Team-oriented with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
* Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
