Construction Associate/Senior Associate - Leeds A highly regarded international firm is looking for a Construction Associate or Senior Associate to join their growing team in Leeds. This is an experienced team with an outstanding client base, bringing a unique spread of work often spanning multiple jurisdictions. An exciting opportunity has now arisen for an experienced Construction solicitor to join their dedicated team, based in Leeds. This team has seen significant growth over the years and now as one of the largest construction and engineering teams in the North, they are considered a leading force in the property and construction sector. The team are recognised for their high quality contentious and non-contentious work, with an international client base including developers, funders, consultants, UK and European based contractors and sub-contractors. Key Responsibilities will include: · Manage own caseload of contentious matters and assist with non-contentious work acting for employers and contractors, construction professionals and funders · Manage and assist in dispute resolution to include litigation, arbitration, adjudication, mediation, and negotiation. · Drafting pleadings, witness statements and instructing experts and letters of advice to clients/experts · Preparation of documents in proceedings, including claims, witness statements and other documents · Liaising directly with clients and developing strong working relationships · Drafting, negotiating, reviewing and reporting on all forms of construction and engineering contracts · Preparing professional appointments and warranties and manage their completion · Preparing performance bonds and parent company guarantees · Preparing reports and due diligence The Ideal Candidate: · Qualified Solicitor with at least 2 years' PQE · Experience gained within an established practice · The ability to work independently and as part of a team · The ability to develop strong relationships with clients and colleagues · Strong organisational and client management skills · Ideally mediation and adjudication experience. · Renewables and oil and gas sector experience is favourable, but not essential. On offer is a competitive salary from £62k upwards depending on experience, as well as hybrid working and a wide range of other benefits.
