Our client is a full-service, commercially-focused firm based in London and Oxford and supports clients from all over the world. As a result of continued growth they are now looking to appoint a hardworking and highly experienced Risk and Compliance Analyst. The Risk and Compliance team plays an integral part in the firms business support function, ensuring that all of the Compliance functions meet an exceptionally high standard. This team strives for excellence and it's equally important that the newly appointed Risk and Compliance Analyst shares the same goal. As this a challenging but highly rewarding role, our client is looking for an "extraordinary" Risk and Compliance Analyst. You will need to be willing to work as part of a team to help ensure that the firm complies with relevant regulations, particularly in relation to new client and on-boarding policies and procedures. The Role Working in close collaboration with the Risk and Compliance Manager and wider compliance team you will assume full responsibility for a varied and very busy Legal Risk and Compliance Role. From day one you'll be exposed to elements of: Anti-money laundering (AML) · Reviewing AML documentation in line with the firm's policies and complete risk assessments on new and re-opened clients and matters · Advising fee earners on the firm's AML requirements · Conducting independent research in relation to AML checks · Conduct ongoing monitoring of clients and enhanced client due diligence checks for higher risk clients Client and matter management · Running and review conflict checks · Monitoring the Compliance team inbox and respond to queries · Sanctions checks and respond to sanction list alerts · Complete client and matter records maintenance e.g. updating outdated records and advising on firm policy in relation to this Risk and compliance · Advising the wider team on the firm's compliance policies and best practice · Undertake on-boarding and training for new members of the compliance team. · Maintaining compliance registers · Assist the Head of Risk and Compliance and the Risk and Compliance Manager with ad hoc projects Benefits · A comprehensive benefits package · Hybrid working - 3 days in the office, 2 days at home · The chance to join an inclusive and supportive Tier 1 Ranked Law Firm. · Pension Scheme · Private Healthcare · Life Assurance · Cycle to Work Scheme · Wellbeing programme which includes monthly key speakers · Offices are highly accessible from major public transport routes About you To be considered for this role you will have a credible work history within the Legal Risk and Compliance Space, preferably as an Analyst. Demonstrate strong communication skills and be able to lead by example. Have an understanding of compliance rules in a legally regulated environment include those of the SRA A proven ability to work well in a team, with a willingness to cover for other team members where appropriate. Be able to work autonomously and have the proven ability to use your own initiative Excellent attention to detail Proficient in the use of MS Office Previous experience with office databases and systems preferable Professional, diligent and responsible attitude towards your work This is a great opportunity for someone looking to progress their career within the Legal Risk and Compliance Space.
