Job Opportunity: Experienced Residential Conveyancer - Part Exchange Team

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced residential conveyancer to join a highly regarded part exchange team within a leading residential development unit. This role is perfect for someone with significant experience in handling residential property transactions, who is looking to take on a new challenge in a fast-paced environment.
The Role:
As part of the part exchange team, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of residential property transactions, including both leasehold and freehold properties. You will handle properties bought and sold via part exchange agreements for national housebuilders. Key duties include:
Drafting and sending conveyancing documents
Handling pre-contract enquiries and reviewing title and searches
Negotiating contracts and overseeing exchanges and completions
Managing post-completion tasks, including SDLT and Land Registry registrations
Candidates should be comfortable running transactions independently from instruction to completion, with a proactive, results-driven approach. No prior experience in part exchange or plot sales is required, as full training and support will be provided.
The Team:
The team is part of a national residential development and urban regeneration legal group, advising major housebuilders and landowners across the UK. With a large, multi-disciplinary team spanning several offices, this group provides an integrated service across various sectors, working alongside experts in law, surveying, architecture, and more.
What We're Looking For:
The ideal candidate will have:
At least five years' residential conveyancing experience
Strong commercial acumen and an ability to build client relationships
Excellent communication and organisational skills
A team-oriented approach with a proactive mindset
Ability to manage a caseload independently and effectively
Attention to detail and strong IT skills
Professionalism, discretion, and the ability to handle sensitive information
Candidates should be comfortable working with minimal supervision and managing their own time effectively, while thriving under pressure and meeting deadlines.
