Solicitor, Debt Recovery, Liverpool Liverpool | £40,000+ DOE + Bonus | Permanent | Flexible Working An established and highly regarded law firm is looking to appoint a Solicitor to join its Enforcement Team in Liverpool. The firm specialises in housing litigation and has a strong reputation for representing tenants in claims against landlords. The Role The successful candidate will manage a caseload of debt recovery and enforcement matters, with a particular focus on recovering damages, legal costs, disbursements and other sums following settlement, judgment or breach of agreement. The role would suit a Solicitor with experience in civil litigation, debt recovery, costs recovery or enforcement, particularly those who have experience of issuing Part 8 proceedings and Court applications within a volume practice. Key responsibilities will include: Managing a caseload of debt recovery and enforcement matters Reviewing settlement agreements, judgments, Court Orders and costs schedules Pursuing unpaid damages, costs and disbursements Preparing and sending letters before action and formal demands Issuing Part 8 proceedings and making enforcement applications Preparing N260 schedules Negotiating recovery of legal fees and expenses Monitoring payment deadlines and taking appropriate enforcement action Liaising with clients, defendants, courts, enforcement agents and other third parties Ensuring matters are progressed efficiently and within deadlines About You The firm is looking for a qualified Solicitor with: A current practising certificate and the right to practise in England & Wales Experience in debt recovery, civil litigation, costs recovery and/or enforcement Good knowledge of County Court procedures and civil litigation Experience pursuing unpaid judgments, damages and costs Strong drafting and negotiation skills Excellent organisation and time-management skills A commercial and pragmatic approach to recovery Experience of Proclaim would be advantageous, but is not essential What's on offer?
