Breach of Contract Fee Earner Housing Disrepair Breach of Contract Fee Earner / Litigator (Claimant) Manchester or Liverpool - Hybrid working available; would consider remote working for the right candidate * Full time (with flexible start and finish times), permanent * Salary Competitive DOE, with chance to earn bonus This leading Housing Team are looking for an experienced Fee Earner to join their Breach of Contract Team. The team specialise in housing litigation, fighting for tenants living in sub-standard accommodation to bring landlords to account. Unfortunately, a significant proportion of those agreements are subsequently breached by the landlord. Your role will involve enforcement of those agreed terms, particularly relating to any failure to complete agreed repairs at the property in the agreed timescale. Working in our specialist Housing Disrepair Breach of Contract Team, your role will primarily involve post litigation casework under both Part 7 and Part 8 of the Civil Procedure Rules. However, some drafting will be required. You will be responsible for handling your own individual caseload of Claimant matters from issue to conclusion. The main objective of the role is to seek Court Orders so that we can enforce previously agreed settlements, including seeking Penal Orders where necessary. Key tasks (not an exhaustive list): * Housing disrepair experience is desirable, but not required * The successful applicant will have a good knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules and have some experience of contentious civil litigation. * You must be able to handle volume litigation ensuring compliance with key deadlines. * Experience of Proclaim or other case management software is desirable, but not essential. * Competent in use of Microsoft packages such as Word, Teams. The successful applicant: * Minimum of 1 years' litigation experience
