We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Negligence Solicitor to join a leading Clinical Negligence department in the heart of central Manchester.

Job Role and Responsibilities
Our solicitors play a key part in the delivery of legal services to our clients, utilising their specialist expertise to provide advice, guidance and representation of clients which is accurate, timely and pragmatic. They work hard to make sure that they understand the facts, the client needs and the desired outcome, before applying their understanding of the legislation, procedure and/or case law as well as their knowledge of the evidence in the case to achieve the best result possible.
In addition to managing a caseload, our solicitors also have opportunities to assist in the development of the department and are encouraged to grow their own network of work introducers as well as promoting the Department.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience Required
To be successful in this role, you must be a Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with 1-3 years of demonstrable experience in Clinical Negligence. You will have managed a caseload of the full spectrum of Clinical Negligence matters or have gained experience of assisting in such matters during your Training Contract. You must also demonstrate:
An in-depth knowledge of the law, principles and practices in relation to clinical negligence matters and the ability to prepare, plan and effectively run cases
Strong commercial awareness and ability to convert enquiries into new cases
Demonstrated ability to undertake advocacy, in connection with clinical negligence work.
The skills and experience required to determine appropriately the need for experts, agents or counsel to be instructed upon issues which they are to address
Excellent IT skills particularly with experience in Word, Excel and Outlook
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to arrive at the best legal solutions for cases
Exceptional client care skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and other relevant parties (such as witnesses, experts and counsel)
Strong team working ethic
Ability to work well under pressure and be proactive
Good financial performance
Ambition and drive to progress your development and experience
