Clinical Negligence Solicitor, Liverpool We are seeking an experienced Senior Associate to join our highly respected Clinical Negligence and Serious Injury team. This is an opportunity to become part of a specialist group known for delivering exceptional support to clients during some of the most challenging moments of their lives. The team is committed to providing clear guidance, compassionate service, and robust legal expertise. As an integral part of the team the Senior Associate will have exposure to complex, high-value work, alongside a mixed caseload. Acting as a team player is essential as you'll be expected to mentor the junior members of the team, aiding with their growth. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced clinical negligence lawyer who is seeking high-quality work, autonomy, and clear career progression within a small, friendly and supportive environment. This role will be based out of our Liverpool office. We offer hybrid working to ensure work life balance. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES · Manage a varied caseload of claimant clinical negligence matters, ranging from lower-value cases to high-value and complex claims · Run cases with a high degree of autonomy, including strategic decision-making on liability, causation and quantum · Work on matters involving serious injury, catastrophic harm and life-changing outcomes · Play an active role in business development and networking; including referrer relationship building · Support media opportunities, marketing initiatives, thought leadership, podcasts, articles and case studies. · Help to grow the profile and reputation of the Clinical Negligence team · Supervise and mentor junior team members (Solicitors, Trainees and Paralegals) ABOUT YOU · Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) · 7 years+ PQE Experience within Clinical Negligence · Able to manage cases independently and confidently · Excellent relationship management skills, compassionate and professional · Highly organised with an exceptional eye for detail · Experience driving business development opportunities · Exposure to Media, Marketing and public-facing work · Previous experience supervising and supporting junior lawyers would be beneficial · Strong team player OUR BENEFITS · Competitive salary · Hybrid working (2 days in the office per week) · Flexible working approach · Medical cash plan · Bonus opportunities · Pension scheme · Life Assurance & Income Protection · 25 days annual leave (increasing with length of service) · Option to buy 10 additional days each year · Additional discretionary leave days · Enhanced Maternity, Paternity & Adoption Leave · Career development and progression opportunities BCL Legal is an equal opportunities employer.
