BANKRUPTCY ATTORNEY (PARTNER TRACK OR NON-PARTNER TRACK) | HOUSTON A leading full-service law firm is seeking an experienced Bankruptcy Attorney to join its Houston office. This opportunity is available on either a partner-track or non-partner-track basis and offers exposure to sophisticated restructuring and insolvency matters across a broad range of industries. Position Overview: Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years' experience handling Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 bankruptcy matters, including complex Chapter 11 cases. The successful candidate will have experience representing secured creditors, unsecured creditors, committees, trustees, and debtors in bankruptcy proceedings and related restructuring matters. Key Responsibilities: * Handle complex bankruptcy and restructuring matters from inception through resolution * Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, proofs of claim, and other bankruptcy filings * Advise clients on workouts, restructurings, and asset protection strategies * Attend hearings, creditor meetings, and provide courtroom support * Liaise effectively with Trustees, Bankruptcy Courts, Local Counsel, and opposing counsel * Build and maintain strong client relationships in a collaborative, fast-paced environment Requirements: * 5+ years of hands-on bankruptcy experience * Strong experience with Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 matters * Licensed to practice in Texas * Excellent academic credentials * Strong written and verbal communication skills * High level of professionalism and commercial judgment Compensation & Benefits: * Competitive salary based on graduation year and experience * 1,900 billable hour requirement * Billings bonus based on collections and production * Origination bonus opportunities This role offers the opportunity to work closely with highly regarded bankruptcy practitioners and develop a sophisticated restructuring practice within a respected regional firm.
