Construction Associate

Construction Litigation Associate - Austin, Texas I'm working with a well-established, full-service US law firm that is looking to add a Construction / Business Litigation Associate to its growing Austin office. The opportunity would suit a 2-4 year qualified litigation lawyer with strong academic credentials and excellent written and analytical skills. The team handles complex construction and design disputes, often involving major national and international clients, with exposure to significant litigation, arbitrations and large-scale projects. The ideal candidate will have: * 2-4 years of litigation experience * Experience in construction law and/or business litigation * Strong legal research, drafting and analytical skills * Experience drafting and reviewing pleadings, discovery and briefs * An ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team * Strong communication skills and the ability to build client relationships * Excellent academic credentials Experience in any of the following would be particularly attractive: * Construction and design disputes * Complex arbitration * Depositions and trial/arbitration work * Federal and state court litigation * Construction/design contract drafting * Government contracting and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) * Working with technical experts on complex projects * Large, multi-party or multi-year construction disputes The role offers the opportunity to work on highly complex, high-value matters, including major trials, arbitrations and construction projects, with the potential for significant client exposure and travel.
