Construction Lawyer - Listed UK Business - East Midlands

Are you an experienced construction lawyer ready to take ownership of high-value, high-impact construction contracts for a major PLC? We are working with a leading FTSE-listed business who are seeking a Senior Construction Lawyer to join their established in-house legal team. This is a key hire and offers a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of the business's ambitious build programme across the UK. The Role: This is a purely non-contentious position, focused on enabling and supporting construction activities through robust legal guidance and documentation. You will: Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of construction contracts (bespoke amendments, consultant appointments, collateral warranties, etc.). Partner with commercial and technical teams to support end-to-end delivery of builds. Take the lead in improving contract management processes and driving efficiencies across the legal and operational functions. Manage relationships with key stakeholders and external panel law firms. Deliver internal training on construction-related legal matters, keeping the business informed and compliant. You will be: A qualified solicitor (England & Wales) with solid post-qualification experience in non-contentious construction law. Background from private practice, in-house, or a mix of both. Strong knowledge of construction contracts. Comfortable working autonomously while collaborating effectively with commercial stakeholders.
