Legal Counsel - 2-5 PQE - Manufacturing / Energy - East Mids

We are delighted to be working with a cutting-edge business operating at the intersection of manufacturing and energy. The company is in a strong growth position and continuing to innovate within its sector. As part of this expansion, they are now seeking an ambitious Legal Counsel (2-5 PQE) to join their high-performing team. Reporting directly into the Head of Legal, the remit of the role includes: · Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements, with a strong focus on customer-facing contracts. · Providing pragmatic, business-focused legal advice to internal stakeholders across the organisation. · Supporting on regulatory and compliance matters relevant to the manufacturing and energy sectors. · Assisting with risk management and corporate governance matters. · Collaborating closely with sales and senior leadership teams. · Providing support on ad hoc legal queries as they arise. The role is appropriate for either: a) a lawyer already working in-house who is seeking a broader, more commercially focused role with increased exposure and responsibility; or b) a private practice lawyer looking to make their first move in-house within an innovative and fast-paced manufacturing/energy environment. You will have a strong grounding in commercial law, with experience in manufacturing, engineering, energy or technology sectors being advantageous but not essential. The business operates a hybrid working policy, offering flexibility alongside time in their East Midlands office.
