Construction Lawyer - Major Infrastructure - Part time on offer

We are working with a FTSE 100 UK business that is embarking on a multi-billion-pound capital investment programme and is looking to strengthen its in-house legal team with the appointment of a 2-8 PQE construction lawyer. This is an opportunity to move beyond simply reviewing construction contracts and become a genuine legal partner to the teams delivering major infrastructure projects. With billions being invested in infrastructure over the coming years, you'll have the opportunity to work on a significant and varied portfolio of projects, engage directly with senior stakeholders and advise on some of the most important construction programmes in the business. You'll join a collaborative, commercially focused in house legal team and play a key role in supporting a substantial portfolio of capital investment projects. Your work will include: *Advising predominantly on NEC-based construction contracts across major infrastructure programmes which are varied and high profile and valued in the billions each year. *Working closely with major contractors, consultants and supply-chain partners. *Acting as a genuine legal business partner to project, commercial, procurement and operational teams. *Providing pragmatic legal advice on complex issues throughout the project lifecycle. *Advising and reporting to senior stakeholders across the organisation. You will be 2-8 PQE and looking to move into, or develop further within, a sophisticated in-house environment with a strong track record of developing its legal talent. You'll ideally bring: *Strong experience in non-contentious construction *Good working knowledge of NEC contracts. *Experience advising on major projects or infrastructure programmes. *Experience of contentious construction and/or regulated procurement would be advantageous, but is not essential. *A commercially minded and pragmatic approach to legal advice across a complex organisation. *The confidence to work directly with senior business stakeholders and external counterparties. The business is based in the West Midlands and operating a hybrid model. It can be full time or part time 4 days (but not less). In addition to the competitive base salary, the wider package includes up to 20% bonus, £5,000 car allowance, 15% employer pension contributions and fantastic family benefits.
