Risk and Compliance Executive

Our client a leading national law firm are looking to recruit a Risk and Compliance Executive to their busy Risk and Compliance Team in Nottingham. As the new addition to the Risk and Compliance team, you will play a critical part of the firm's efficiency mitigating risks the firm may face while adhering to the SRA rules and regulations. Working in close collaboration with the Risk & Compliance Director you will assume full responsibility for the firm's compliance including all regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures. The firms Risk and Compliance Team undertake the full range of compliance and anti-money laundering work including resolving compliance queries, file reviews and analysis of compliance data, knowing the rules, regulations, and legislation that applies to our clients business is fundamental and therefore previous experience in a similar role is required. Within the risk of Risk and Compliance Executive, you can expect to be involved in creating and implementing compliance policies and procedures in addition to delivering training to fee earners and support staff on best practices to remain compliant. You will also provide advice on adhering with the Solicitors Code of Conduct. About you: As this is a constantly evolving role, you will need significant experience of working in a Legal risk & compliance role. It's essential that you have worked in an SRA Regulated Environment, therefore Law firm experience is a necessity. You will also have a working knowledge of the Data Protection Act 2018 and demonstrate a keen eye for detail. In addition you will be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of AML and be an effective trouble-shooter with the ability to work to strict deadlines.
