We are delighted to be working in collaboration with this top -tier international Law firm in their search for a Conflicts Advisor. The Risk and Compliance team work in collaboration with the wider law firm to ensure best practice across the business, effectively managing all aspects of the regulation surrounding the efficient running of the Firm. The Role The role of Conflicts Advisor will play an integral part of the firm's business support function and will involve working with key internal stakeholders in a fast-paced environment. Being able to work under pressure and to strict deadlines is essential. The team are hardworking and fun and all work together to achieve the same goal, which is to provide an elevated level of Risk and Compliance support to the firm and its clients. As the newly appointed Conflicts Advisor, you will support the Conflicts team in addition to the Conflicts Manager and wider Risk and Compliance team. No two days are ever the same in this role and it's vital that you can think on your feet and work autonomously. A large proportion of the role will involve acting as a trusted advisor to the Risk & Compliance department, and wider firm, on all forms of conflicts queries. With this in mind, you'll need to demonstrate an expert level of conflicts knowledge including keeping up to date with ever changing regulations and conflicts policies and procedures. Working in close collaboration with the Conflicts Manager, this role will also involve the supervision, training and mentoring of junior members of the team relating to their personal and professional development. As the team grows you will also have the opportunity to take on complex projects that will improve productivity and efficiency of the wider firm. About you: · Extensive experience as a Conflicts Analyst within a highly regarded Law Firm · The ability to handle complex conflicts and confidential information issues. · The ability to undertake an elevated level of research and providing solutions to conflicts issues. · An in-depth working knowledge of the conflicts and confidential information rules in the SRA Standards · Keeping up to date with ever changing SRA Rules and Regulations · Experience in using Intapp · Understanding the issues arising in commercial conflicts and any relevant regulatory considerations. · Experience of working in an international team setting is highly desirable. · Experience of devising and delivering training · Identifying knowledge gaps If you are interested in discussing thisrole, please contact Laura Baron at BCL Legal for further details and a full job specification.
