A Vault Top 200 AmLaw firm are looking to appoint an attorney to join their Public Finance team in Philadelphia. This firm's public finance practice is market-leading and works to provide comprehensive legal services to aid the finance related demands of their clients across the country. This is a unique opportunity to join one of the country's most established public finance practices, working alongside experienced attorneys on complex bond transactions, public infrastructure projects, and housing finance matters. The team advises state and local governments, issuers, underwriters, investors, private placement lenders, and nonprofit organisations on high-profile financing transactions. This firm represents a variety of lending entities as bond counsel and has been noted for their work as bond counsel since the early 20th century with their team being ranked both nationally and regionally. This firm offers a hybrid work model with 2-3 days in office, and they offer candidates the opportunity to hold a key role in the structuring and execution of public finance transactions with emphasis on developing strong client and deal management skills. This role offers you exposure to complex and significant transactions from financial market participants across all levels, with a focus on the housing sector.
About you
You will have:
- Over 2 years' experience in public finance, municipal law, government finance, or bond transactions
- Experience working on transactions involving state and local governments in any capacity
- Strong academic credentials with impeccable research, negotiation, and communication skills.
- A solid understanding of a wide range of financial concepts
- Must be admitted in the state of their office location
Preferred but not essential:
- Prior work in banking or consumer finance.
- Experience acting on debt issuance and restructuring
Recent representative matters
The public finance team at this firm regularly advise on matters of:
- 501(c)(3) bond financings for housing matters and healthcare facilities
- Private placement bond transactions for various lending institutions
- Tax-exempt and taxable municipal bond offerings
recently worked on matters involving:
- Advising on one of the nation's largest bank-sponsored tax-exempt bond and loan conduit private placement programmes for affordable housing projects
- Acting on affordable multifamily housing bond financing across the US
- Working on debt restructuring and tax-exempt financing transactions involving governmental issuers and lenders
