Asset Securitization Associate

The Firm A band 1 Chambers-ranked and nationally recognised law firm is seeking a 4th-6th year Asset Securitization Associate to join one of the firm's most established and fastest-growing practice groups. This is a rare opportunity to join a market-leading securitization team that continues to experience significant growth following a number of high-profile partner additions and an increasing volume of sophisticated client mandates. The team is making multiple hires across its New York, DC, and Chicago offices and offers associates the chance to work directly alongside some of the most respected practitioners in the securitization market. Unlike many large practices where associates operate within heavily leveraged teams, deal teams here are intentionally lean, often consisting of one partner working directly with one associate. As a result, associates receive a level of responsibility, client exposure, and drafting experience that is often difficult to find elsewhere. From day one, you will work closely with partners on live transactions, gaining exposure well beyond your class year and developing the technical skills necessary to become a trusted advisor in the space. What you will be doing day-to-day * Advise issuers, underwriters, trustees, lenders, and other market participants on a broad range of sophisticated securitization and structured finance transactions. * Work across a diverse mix of matters, including Asset-Backed Securities (ABS), CLOs, warehouse lending facilities, and trustee representations, providing exposure to multiple product areas while developing deeper expertise within your chosen specialism. * Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of transaction documents, including offering materials, pooling and servicing agreements, indentures, warehouse facilities, purchase agreements, and ancillary deal documentation. * Take ownership of key workstreams throughout the transaction lifecycle, coordinating due diligence, managing deal execution, and helping drive matters through to successful closing. * Collaborate directly with partners in leanly staffed deal teams, often with a level of responsibility, autonomy, and visibility that is difficult to find in larger, more heavily leveraged practices. * Act as a day-to-day point of contact for clients, developing trusted relationships and gaining meaningful exposure to commercial decision-making from an early stage in your career.
