Mid-Level Antitrust Associate

The Firm An AmLaw Top 15 international law firm is seeking a talented Antitrust Associate to join their highly regarded Antitrust & Competition practice in either Chicago or Washington, D.C. The team advises multinational corporations, private equity sponsors, and market-leading businesses on the full spectrum of antitrust matters, including government investigations, merger reviews, complex litigation, and strategic competition counselling. Known for its strength in handling high-stakes domestic and cross-border matters, the practice regularly represents clients before the DOJ, FTC, and other regulatory authorities. As part of a globally integrated platform, associates have the opportunity to work on sophisticated matters spanning multiple jurisdictions while collaborating with recognised leaders in the antitrust field. What You Will Be Doing Day-to-Day * Represent clients in complex antitrust litigation matters in federal and state courts. * Assist with antitrust agency investigations and enforcement proceedings. * Advise clients on a wide range of antitrust and competition law issues, including compliance and business strategy considerations. * Conduct legal research and prepare high-quality written submissions, briefs, memoranda, and client communications. * Support merger review processes and regulatory filings where required. * Work closely with partners and clients to develop effective strategies for navigating antitrust risks and challenges. * Manage multiple matters simultaneously while maintaining exceptional attention to detail and responsiveness. You Will Have * 3-5 years of experience at a large law firm and/or a U.S. government agency. * Experience in antitrust litigation, antitrust agency defence work, and antitrust client counselling. * Outstanding research, analytical, and writing skills. * Excellent academic credentials. * Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. * Admission to the Illinois or Washington, D.C. Bar, or eligibility to obtain admission promptly.
