Electrical Patent Associate

The Firm One of the highest regarded Intellectual Property boutiques is seeking an Electrical Patent Associate to join their growing Electrical Practice Group in one of their offices across the U.S. This opportunity is ideal for attorneys with direct semiconductor industry experience who bring a deep understanding of the technical, commercial, and practical aspects of semiconductor technologies, including design, manufacturing, fabrication processes, and related innovations. What You Will be Doing day-to-day * Draft and prosecute patent applications relating to semiconductor devices, fabrication processes, and emerging chip technologies. * Advise clients on patent portfolio development, IP strategy, and protecting key innovations. * Support complex patent litigation, post-grant proceedings, and other patent disputes. * Work closely with leading technology companies, inventors, and engineering teams on cutting-edge semiconductor advancements. * Collaborate with attorneys and technical professionals on high-value, business-critical intellectual property matters. * Analyze complex technical concepts and translate them into robust patent protection strategies. What You Will Have * 2-4 years of experience working with semiconductor-related patents. * At least 1 year of direct semiconductor industry experience. * Registration to practice before the USPTO. * Admission to practice in a state where the firm maintains an office. * A degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related technical discipline. * Advanced technical degrees (M.S. or Ph.D.) are strongly preferred. * Strong technical writing, analytical, and client-facing skills.
