A leading Am Law 100 firm is looking to hire a patent associate into its Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Patent Prosecution group, with a preference for candidates based in Washington, D.C.

The role
You'll be drafting and prosecuting patent applications across a technically sophisticated client base, with particular depth in graphics processing units, tensor processing units, accelerators, neural engines, and robotics circuitry. Responsibilities cover the full prosecution lifecycle, from drafting high-quality applications through to managing prosecution for a diverse portfolio of clients, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.

* JD with active bar admission in the jurisdiction where you intend to practice
* USPTO admission required
* Undergraduate or advanced degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, software engineering, computer science, physics, or mathematics
* Minimum 3 years' experience in patent preparation and prosecution
* Strong technical writing and communication skills across the subject matter areas above
Compensation
$140,000 - $250,000 base salary depending on experience, plus performance bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package.
